Continuing to share few more captivating songs from the beautiful land of Iran:

1.

Sina Sarlak - Zire Saghfe Doodi ( سینا سرلک - زیر سقف دودی )

(The persian script and English translation which I pasted on right is available here: Sina Sarlak - زیر سقف دودی (Zire Saghfe doodi) (English translation))

2.

Siah O Sepid "سیاه و سپید"

(in this very beautiful and melodic song the music and lyrics at 1:15 is the heart of the song, almost changes the tunes),

the Farsi transliteration with corresponding English of that stanza from 1:15 is:

lyrics from:(Dariush - سپید و سیاه (Sepid o Siah) (English translation #2))

3.

A beautiful Hindi song- Kitni Chaahat Chupaye Baithi hoon....

Sharing a very beautiful and melodic song from a Bollywood movie: Kitni Chahat Chupaye Baitha Hoon | Himmatvar (1996) | Dharmendra | Romantic Song

I particularly like the antara version cover sang here by some singer: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DGr6nU_tZoO/

The profound lyrics from the antara of the song which I particularly like are as follows:

And the corresponding English translation of above lines are:

(done from Google translate)

"Beautiful nights of moon and stars

How could I forget those meetings

How charming they are, how dear they are

I remember your talks

I am sitting here with the lamp of my heart burning

Now I don't even have control over myself

I have forgotten the whole world

Don't think that I don't love

Since you have come into my world

Now I wait for no one else

The ones my thoughts have written

You are that beautiful story

I too am sitting, adorning dreams

Don't say that I am not restless

How much love I am hiding

Don't think that I don't love"

Kullu man 'Alaiha Faan: A soul stirring Nasheed....

Sharing a very beautiful nasheed that I only recently discovered, and it's so profound and melodic and truthful that it's one of the finest devotional songs of praise I have heard...

The lines "Kullu man Alaiha Faan" are taken from the 26th verse of Surah Ar-Rahman (55:26) in Quran. The English meaning of which is:

"Everyone upon the earth will perish. And there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor."

The song can be heard here:

New Motivational kalam 2025 | Kullu Man Alaiha Faan | Muhammad Anas Nazeer | JSM | Nasheed Club

The song has lyrics in Hindi and Arabic/Urdu

The following lines of the song are especially very deep:

"rooh jism ko ek din chod kar yu jayegi

tum jahan raho lekin maut lene aayegi

kya faqeer kya sultan

kullu man Alaiha faan

rab ne kar diya elaan

kullu man alaiha faan

baaki hoga bas rahmaan

kullu man alaiha faan.."

Interestingly, I keep getting reminded of some lines of a song (see below) from an old Bollywood movie (Muqaddar ka Sikandar, 1979), that talks of death being the only truth in this Dunya of illusions...and likens death (or rather Angel of Death/ Malak-ul-Maut) to that devoted lover who will most certainly appear and come to take the soul....

"Zindagi to bewafa hai

ek din thukraegi

maut Mehbooba hai

apne saath lekar jayegi.."

Tu Hai Kamaal Maula & Jise Tu na Mila Use Kuch na Mila- two beautiful Sufi Qawwalis/ songs from Hindi movies

Sharing two songs (one of them is singing praises of God, while another song is a Sufi song). Both are from Hindi movies. The interesting thing is that the second song (Jise Tu Na Mila) was a song I heard after 16 years, as I was going through some of my old stuffs and actually noted that somewhere I had saved some lyrics of a song and when I heard it back I could recognize it...this Sufi song is one of the deepest poetries ever written in my view..

1.

First song can be called as a forgotten melody from a very old Hindi movie called Sultanat (1986).

Link of the song: Tu Hai Kamal Maula Teri Kudrat Kamal The Legendary Suresh Wadekar Saltanat low

Lyrics:

terii saltanat kamaal

from: Tu Hai Kamaal Maula Teri Saltanat Kamaal - तू है क़माल मौला तेरी सल्तनत क़माल

Interestingly, this song has scenes of the desert and camels. This actually feels nostalgic as I still remember in one of trips to the hot desert area of Rajasthan, India with the born family, in my childhood, I found the only photo where I actually sat on the camel (I think I was very adamant that I wanted to sit on that camel as I was so deeply fascinated as it was walking on the road) and for some reason, I can tell that was true joy on my face, although I do not still know if it came from camel, or the feminine motherly energy (a distant aunt who sat behind me supporting me and holding me) or both . Anyways, I decided to share that old childhood pic:

The reason being the second time I saw a real camel Infront of me (two years ago) was funnily when I was learning horse-riding (as part of some basic lessons I took solely for healing purposes, although the torture of horses and pain I could sense from them made me not want to go to advanced level). Anyways, the camels remind me of the miracle of God who was so merciful that he made the camel as the most amazing design and even presented a she-camel in one of the stories of Quran..

Anyways back to the song:

2.

the second song from a Bollywood movie Refugee: Refugee Jise Tu Na Mila

Lyrics:

Sab ko duniya se garaj, mujhko tujhse kaam

Sab duniya duniya ratein, main lu tera naam

Teri ek jhalak jo payee hai, ek masti hai jo chhaayee hai... (x2)

Mujhe apna koi hosh nahi, pal bhar ko dil khaamosh nahi

Mere dil gunje yahi sada... (x3)

Jise tu na mila, use kuchh na mila... (x4)

Ha tu ha tu tu tu tu tu...

O jise tu na mila, use kuchh na mila... (x6)

O o o duniya mein duniyadaro ko, jhuthi daulat ke yaaro ko

Daulat bhi mili, taaqat bhi mili

Ijjat bhi mili, shaurat bhi mili

Mere dil gunje yahi sada, jise tu na mila, use kuchh na mila... (x4)

Ha tu ha tu tu tu tu tu...

O jise tu na mila, use kuchh na mila... (x6)

Tu mohabbat ka ik samandar hai

Tujhame dubu, tujhi mein ghul jaau

Ik najar dekh le jo tu mujhako

Jism se rooh tak main dhul jaau

Mujhe dekh jara pehchaan jara, main tera hu main hu tera... (x3)

Mere dil gunje yahi sada... (x3)

Jise tu na mila, use kuchh na mila... (x4)

Ha tu ha tu tu tu tu tu...

O jise tu na mila, use kuchh na mila... (x6)

Rang mein tu hai, roop mein tu hai

Chhanv mein tu hai, dhoop mein tu hai

Tu hai raaton mein, tu saveron mein

Tu ujaalon mein, tu andheron mein

Tu hi sardi mein, tu hi garmi mein

Tu hi sakhti mein, tu hi narmi mein

Tu hai paani mein, aag mein tu hai

Tu hai geeton mein, raag mein tu hai

Ho tu suron mein hai, taal mein tu hai

Soch mein tu, khayal mein tu hai

Mausamon mein hai tu, ruton mein tu

Mandiron mein hai tu, buto mein tu

Masjidon mein hai tu, azaan mein tu

Tu hi geeta mein hai, Quran mein tu

Mandir ne kaha masjid ne kaha, har rasta hai tera rasta

o o o nahi koi manjil tere siva... (x2)

Mere dil gunje yahi sada... (x3)

Jise tu na mila, use kuchh na mila... (x6)

Ha tu ha tu tu tu tu tu...

Three beautiful Bollywood songs on "Zinda"/ living....an interesting connection...

Sharing three Hindi Bollywood songs which are all so beautiful and melodious with very deep poetry (which are also some of my favorite songs I have listened to and listen in my life), together as I noted an interesting theme in all of them. All of them have the title of "Zinda" or alive in their titles and talk of the feeling of being alive from the point of the person singing it...(depending on the situation in the respective movie scenes)..The three songs also seems to have a spiritual cord throughout all of them for those on the path of Ishq-e-haqiqi....

In the first song, the person is questioning that despite the blood flowing in the veins in the body and breathing, the person still feels disconnected from life as that is not truly living, and the lyrics talk of the burning fire and restlessness of the soul making the heart question its own beating, if its indeed really alive?

The second song talks of the person (the forlorn lover) for whom despite being alive (zinda), the life (zindagi) does not feel like a life, simply because of the separation from the Beloved. The eyes keep on searching for that face, and the lover also keeps on asking that lover (likening him to be a tormentor) to come for once and annihilate everything so that it's finished for once....

Finally, in the third song (which is actually from a very beautiful movie Lootera (2013) starring the handsome actor Ranveer Singh based on the story of the Last Leaf by O' Henry), the lover (the actor in the movie), is finally emptied of all desires/ regrets/ lost chance of love and all he wants to be left alone and just live, as he feels that its sufficient and enough for him....He just wants no rivals or outside forces/ persons to interfere or question and had finally accepted his state..

1.

Kya Main Zinda Hoon

Lyrics:

2.

Main Zinda hu lekin Full Song | Nisar Ali

(This song is a version of a song that was in a Bollywood movie that was in turn copied (read stolen) originally from a Pakistani song...Not surprisingly, the typical Indians won't love their neighbor but go ahead and steal their compositions without batting an eyelid :))

The lyrics of this song are:

3.

Zinda Full Video | Lootera | Ranveer Singh, Sonakshi Sinha | Amit Trivedi | Amitabh Bhattacharya

Lyrics:

An old Hindi song- Aapke Pehloo main aakar ro diye-Forgotten melody 3

Sharing a very melodious and beautiful song from a very old Hindi movie (Mera Saaya, 1966). The song is sung by the legendary singer Mohammed Rafi. The song is very special as it was also in my list of songs, I would listen to in my childhood recorded in cassette songs. A specific thing about this song is that I would literally write down its lyrics and try to memorize it as this song had such a deep impact on my soul. Anyways, the movie itself is very good as the plot is very interesting. The great actor (Sunil Dutt) is grieving the loss of his wife but does not realize that his wife is alive as the one who died was actually her twin sister (about whom nobody knew) and that's where the suspense is. His real wife tries hard to convince him and ultimately towards the end, his inner eyes open and he understands that she was there all along..

I don't' think anybody might even know about this song and so it's a forgotten melody in my view..

For some reason I also note a spiritual side in this song as if this song is about the person crying out and going to God (as there is reference of sar jhukakar) and mentioning about his/her sorrows to God and the pain of separation from God.....

The song can be heard here:

Mohammed Rafi : Aapke Pahlu Mein Aakar Ro Diye | Sunil Dutt, Sadhana | Bollywood Old Dard Bhare Song

The lyrics of this song are:

A beautiful Bollywood song-Shiddat

Sharing a deeply melodious (with one of the most beautiful poetries/lyrics) song from some Bollywood movie. The beauty of the song is enhanced as it includes the beatings of a real heart (in the introductory music). The song can be heard here:

Shiddat Title Song Track(Lyrics) -By Manan Bhardwaj

Each line of this song is so poetic and very deeply written...

The lyrics of this song are:

"Tujhko Bana Doon Main Apna Khuda

Aur Sajde Tere Kar Sakoon

Maangu Dua Saath Hone Ki Tere

Kaande Pe Sar Rakh Sakoon

Dhaga Ek Baandhun Tujhko

Mannat Bana Loon

Kaagaz Pe Dil Ke Teri

Surat Bana Loon

Chhute Kabhi Na Woh Aadat Bana Loon

Haan Shiddat Bana Loon Tujhe

Qismat Banalo Meri Chahat Banalo

Dil Se Main Maangu Ibadat Banalo

Chhute Kabhi Na Woh Aadat Bana Loon

Haan Shiddat Bana Loon Tujhe

Qismat Banalo Meri Chahat Banalo

Dil Se Main Maangu Ibadat Banalo

Chhoote Kabhi Na Woh Aadat Bana Loon

Haan Shiddat Bana Loon Tujhe

Kyun Ye Hadein Hai Kyun Sarhadein Hai

Itne Hai Kyun Faasle

Manzil Teri Meri Jab Ek Hai

Toh Kyun Hai Alag Raaste

Ishq Ki Aisi Kahawat Bana Loon

Paani Pe Likh Doon Likhawat Bana Loon

Goonje Sada Wo Aahat Bana Loon

Haan Shiddat Bana Loon Tujhe

Dil Ki Main Tujhko Sajawat Bana Loon

Kuch Bhi Na Bolun Muskurahat Bana Loon

Barse Khuda Ki Woh Barkat Bana Loon

Haan Shiddat Bana Loon Tujhe

Qismat Banalo Meri Chahat Banalo

Dil Se Main Maangu Ibadat Banalo

Chhoote Kabhi Na Woh Aadat Bana Loon

Haan Shiddat Bana Loon Tujhe

Ye Khara Samandar Mera Gawah Hai

Ishq Hai Mera Ya Mera Gunaah Hai

Tujhko Saza Aur Adalat Bana Loon

Haan Shiddat Bana Loon Tujhe"

A melodic song- Ajnabi

Sharing a very simple yet beautiful melodic song sung by a famous pop singer Amir Saleem: (169) Ajnabi - YouTube

The lyrics of this song are:

"ajnabi mujhe tum yaad aate ho

mein tanha hoon tumhare bin

mujhe tum kun satatey ho

ajnabi mujhe tum yaad aate ho..

tumhein dekha nahi phir bhi

mera dil kun tarapta hai

tumhein milne ko dil mera

na jane kun machalta hai

mera dil kyun tarapta hai

meri bahoon mein aa jao

mujhe tum kun satatey ho

ajnabi mujhe tum yaad aate ho..

kabhi socha na tha aisa mere..

sapno mein aao ge

mujhe deewana ker do ge meri!

neendein uraoge

mujhe her pal sataoge

mere jeevan mein aa jao

mujhe tum kun satatey ho

ajnabi mujhe tum yaad aate ho..

mein tanha hoon tumhre bin

mujhe tum kun satatey ho

ajnabi mujhe tum yaad aate ho."

I have done the English translation of the lyrics of this song:

"Stranger, I remember you

I am lonely without you

Why do you torment me

Stranger, I remember you

Haven't seen you yet, but

my heart yearns for you

my heart desires to meet you

don't know why my heart is restless

come into my arms

why do you torment me

Stranger, I remember you

Never thought like this

you will come in my dreams

make me mad and chase away my sleep

every moment you torment me

Come into my life

Why do you torment me

Stranger, I remember you

I am lonely without you

Why do you torment me

Stranger, I remember you...."

A melodic Hindi ghazal- Kisi Nazar ko tera intezaar aaj bhi hai

Sharing a song (a ghazal) that was in an old Bollywood movie also, but the song and its lyrics are so beautiful. Especially the tunes of the song when played on the Santoor is very divine (https://www.instagram.com/reel/DXlnhqakkzM/).

The song can be heard here: Kisi Nazar Ko Tera Intezar Lyrical Video | Aitbaar | Asha Bhosle, Bhupinder | Dimple Kapadia, Suresh

The piano instrumental of this song is also very beautiful and can be heard here: KISI NAZAR KO TERA INTZAAR AAJ BHI HAI // HINDI SONG ON KEYBOARD

The beautiful poetry /lyrics of this song are as follows:

A very heartful ghazal song-Kahan Ho Tum

Sharing a song that I recently listened and is a deeply hypnotic song that I keep on listening. The original singer of this song is Shahnaz Begum, and the poetry of this song is by a famous poet Behzad Lakhnavi.

I especially liked the cover version I found (see the link below)

Kaha Ho Tum | A Tribute to Shahnaz Begum| A Soulful Rendition of a Timeless Classic | Vikas Arora

I also found a female cover too (Kahan Ho Tum – Nostalgic Lofi Ghazal | Peaceful Midnight Ghazal | Produced by Sanson Ki Lay ) but I still like the male version better...

The heart-touching poetry of the song is:

- Behzad Lakhnavi

Kahaan ho tum chale aao mohabbat ka taqaza hai - Ghazal

A very beautiful and nostalgic song- from a popular Hindi movie Disco Dancer (1982)

Sharing a hauntingly beautiful song that is from a very old but popular Bollywood movie Disco Dancer (1982). Before I mention about the song, I should mention about this movie and the lead actor Mithun Chakraborthy. All the songs and the dance steps of the actor in this movie are so famous that his unique moves are attributed to him (akin to the moonwalk or other specific dance steps attributed to Michael Jackson). Moreover, this movie had a massive popularity in the Soviet Union (Russia) apart from India, and in an old interview when the actor was asked about the movie's success and his success in Russia, he replied that the success of the movie is only because it was destiny and comes from God. He also replied that he thinks he had a strong past life connection to Russia that's why he became an icon in Russia :)

The particular song I am sharing is so nostalgic as I had this song especially recorded in my cassette player in my childhood and used to hear it a lot. I liked its melody and its deep lyrics which reverberate in my heart till today. The song is:Disco Dancer - Yaad Aa Raha Hai Tera Pyar Kahan Hum Kahan - Bappi Lahiri

I am also sharing the specific movie clip (actually the whole movie in available on YouTube freely), where the teacher/ Guru/ Murshid (played by Rajesh Khanna) speaks to the actor to sing, urging him to sing for the sake of his mother's soul.

(167) Disco Dancer - Mithun Chakraborty - Part 13 Of 13 | Bollywood Movie Scenes - YouTube

One noticeable thing is that the actor (Mithun) has formed a deep phobia of even touching his electric guitar, let alone hold it and play and sing to its tunes, which is happening as in his last performance, he was about to hold his electric guitar, but his mother reaches the stage hurriedly in time (as she was informed of a secret plot to kill her son by having the guitar under live electric voltage) and before her son could touch, she picks up the guitar and is sadly, electrocuted and dies in front of her son. That traumatic memory and scream of his mother remained imprinted in his soul memory, and he cannot seem to get over his grief, especially since his mother had suffered a lot in her earlier life as well and she unconditionally loved him and wanted him to sing and follow his heart, almost a huge sacrifice. Moreover, after that the villains also physically attack the actor breaking his legs (so he cannot dance on stage). Even though his lover (played by some actress) helps him rehabilitate his physical injury, the wound in his soul remains unhealed. At the time of a critical upcoming dance show, she urges the actor to sing (and there is a full song on that which is a very famous song by the name Jimmy Aaja Disco Dancer - Jimmi Jimmi Jimmi Aaja Aaja Aaja Aaja Re Mere - Parvati Khan) but her attempts fail. Until we see the entry of the actor's murshid (a teacher who had been there with the actor since his childhood watching him and teaching him music and singing with him songs). He then sings another beautiful song and speaks to him to listen to his soul, his specific dialogues (see below) help him finally take the leap to overcome the fear. Interestingly, as the healing occurs, we see the actor (Mithun) breaks apart the old personal guitar (which caused his mother's death) and takes the electric guitar thrown by his murshid in the auditorium. And the song which the actor then sings is in fact devoted to his mother and is remembering her love...

The dialogues spoken by the guru in Hindi and English are here:

Hindi:

"Gaa, apni maa ki aatma ki cheekh se apne sur ko mila de

main kehta hoon gaa!

agar aaj tune nahi gaaya

to hamesha hamesha ke liye

teri maa mar jayegi...."

English:

"Sing, unite your melody with the scream of your mother's soul

I say to you sing!

If today you did not sing

Then forever and forever

your mother will die..."

I personally felt that moment was beautiful and very deep, as it showed that the source of trauma (the guitar) was broken to give space to a new version of that same object which then turned into a symbol of healing (through music). For some reason I was getting reminded of the story of Surah Yusuf from the holy Quran where the same shirt of Prophet Yusuf (A.S.) that caused trauma to his father Prophet Yaqub also later became the source of his healing. Basically, the same shirt which was not torn but had sheep blood spots was brought by his other sons to make-believe that Yusuf was killed by wolves, but 40 years later, Yusuf sent another shirt (but his personal shirt) that actually healed the sight of his father.

The lyrics of the song are:

"Yaad aa raha hai, tera pyaar

Kahaan hum kahaan tum

Hue tum kahaan gum

Aa bhi jaa aa bhi, jaa ek baar

O, Yaad aa raha hai, tera pyaar

Yaaron, main to yahaan jeeta raha

Saare gham dil ke bhula ke

De ke tumhein, saari khushi

Maine, maine yahaan kuchh bhi to paaya nahi

Sab kuchh paa ke

Mujh ko mili, kya zindagi

O, Yaad aa raha hai, tera pyaar

Kahaan hum kahaan tum

Hue tum kahaan gum

Aa bhi jaa aa bhi, jaa ek baar

Ho, Yaad aa raha hai, tera pyaar

Ae dil, main wohi tu wohi

Wohi hain yeh duniya ke mele

Bichhde woh din, jaane kahaan

Roothe, sab yahaan jaane kahaan

Reh gaye hum to akele

Aawaaz dein, kis ko yahaan

O, Yaad aa raha hai, tera pyaar

Kahaan hum kahaan tum

Hue tum kahaan gum

Aa bhi jaa aa bhi, jaa ek baar

Ho, Yaad aa raha hai, tera pyaar

Waada, waada raha saathi mere

Tere liye gaata chala jaaun

Tu mera dil, tu meri jaan

Jeena, jeena mera jeena yahin

Tere liye zindagi lutaoon

Tu jo nahi, kya hai yahaan

O, Yaad aa raha hai, tera pyaar

Kahaan hum kahaan tum

Hue tum kahaan gum

Aa bhi jaa aa bhi, jaa ek baar"

Two Especially divine Songs of praise (Manqabat)

I wanted to share two more songs of praise (Manqabats). I wanted to post these two songs separately (instead of putting them under my prior post on the collections of Manqabats), simply because I have only discovered these songs a day ago and could not stop listening to them.

1.

NEW 13 RAJAB MANQABAT 2025 | NAAD E ALI YAAD E ALI | MAULA ALI QASIDA | MEHDI ALI | TNA RECORDS

(This Manqabat is recited by Mehdi Ali Shujjai, and originates from the studios of Karachi, Pakistan). The poetry of this song is so heart touching that I have no words to convey the emotions when hearing it. The voice of the singer is also very refreshing, and one can feel the purity of his voice).

I actually heard and typed the lyrics (although I happened to find the lyrics later at https://nauhalyrics.app/lyrics/3715). I guess it was destined that I type them too :) (will of the Beloved). So below is the lyric I have typed after hearing this divine recital"

"Naad-e-Ali

Asal main yehi to hai

Yaad-e-Ali

Wajd main jab bhi tera naam main leta hoon

baithe baithe hi Najaf ghoomta rehta hoon Ali

dil dhadakne ki sadaon main bhi sunta hoon Ali

ae mere Maula Ali

ye mohabbat teri

raah jaise bhi ho.

mujhko nahi girne deti..

Naad-e-Ali

asal main yehi to hai

yaad-e-Ali

naad-e-Ali

khyberi jung main chaaleeswa din aaya toh

kaha Allah ne jibreel nabi se keh do

vo jo Mazhar hai Ajaib ka pukaro usko

jab Ali aayega

sab badal jayega

jeet jaoge abhi jung

padho mere nabi...

Naad-e-Ali

asal main yehi to hai

yaad-e-Ali

naad-e-Ali

khoya rehta hoon shab-o-roz teri yaadon mein

zindagi banke tu basta hai meri saanson main

dil laga rehta hai har waqt teri baaton main

aisa lagta hai mujhe

saath hai tu mere

teri yaadon se nikalne

nahi deti hai kabhi

Naad-e-Ali

asal main yehi to hai

yaad-e-Ali

naad-e-Ali

ishq itna hai mujhe mere maula tujhse

mere seene main hai dil

aur hai is dil pe likhi

Naad-e-Ali

asal main yehi to hai

yaad-e-Ali

naad-e-Ali

Raasta Neel main Musa ko dikha deta hai

kashti-e-nooh se toofan hata deta hai

aur kahin naar ko gulzaar bana deta hai

Hazrat-e-Adam se Mustafa tak sabke

kaam aaya hai yehi vird

jahaan jisne padhi

Naad-e-Ali

asal main yehi to hai

yaad-e-Ali

naad-e-Ali"

In the lyrics,

Wajd means in spiritual ecstasy (Sufism)

Mazhar-ul-Ajaib ("Mazhar-e-Ajaib" (مظہر عجائب) means the manifestation or place of appearance of wonders/miracles) often referring to Hazrat Ali in Islamic poetry.

Naar means hellfire

Vird means recitation

Note: This song features mention of Bahlol sa deewana bana de or Daana bana de, which refers to Bahlol Dana (real name Wahab ibn Amr) who was a renowned 8th-century Sufi mystic, poet, and philosopher in Baghdad known for his profound wisdom disguised as insanity. He is revered as a Majzoob (one lost in divine love) whose anecdotes are staples of Islamic folklore, highlighting detachment from worldly desires. (Taken from Google)

2.

13 Rajab | Imam Ali Manqabat | Sufi Song of Imam Ali | Ali Ali Ya Ali | Urdu Hindi Manqabat

(There is something so so divinely magnetic about this song that it just takes hold of your heart. This song is purely AI based (by YouTube channel Raqs Dervish) unlike the first song that was sung by a real human in a real music studio).  The lyrics/ poetry of this very long song is NOT available online at all; hence I have heard and typed the poetry lyrics, see below:

"Ali Ali Ali Ali

Ya Ali Ya Ali

Ali Ali Ali Ali

Ya Ali Ya Ali

haram ki god main utra jo aftaab-e-jaleel

falak se jhaank ke dekhe hain aaj khud jibreel

khuda ke ghar main hui hai ye kaisi taaza tanzeel

hisaar-e-Kaaba ne di hai wiladaton ko daleel

Sadaf ne khud hi ugla hai gauhar-e-nayaab

Arab ko isne sikhaya hai adal ke adaab

Ali Ali Ali Ali

Ya Ali Ya Ali

Ali Ali Ali Ali

Ya Ali Ya Ali

jab bhaag nikle the saathi,

vo dhaal banke raha

nabi ke gird vo aahan

misaal banke raha

vo zakham khaake bhi deen ka

Jamaal banke raha

farishte kehte the kaisa

kamaal banke raha

zameen-e-Uhud gawaah hai

Ali ki haibat ka

Ali hai lutf-e-karam

raza-e-kudrat ka

Ali Ali Ali Ali

Ya Ali Ya Ali

Ali Ali Ali Ali

Ya Ali Ya Ali

ye Qila Khyber sangi

ye Marhab ka ghuroor

kai dino se tha lashkar main

ranj-o-fitoor

pukara sarvar-e-deen ne

kahan hai chasme-e-noor

main dunga parcham use kal

jo waaqai ghayoor

subah hui thi to alam kiske haath main dekha

nabi ki wasf hi saare

Ali ki zaat main dekha

Ali Ali Ali Ali

Ya Ali Ya Ali

Ali Ali Ali Ali

Ya Ali Ya Ali

Ukhad fek diya dar jo baab-e-Khyber tha

bashar ka zor nahin tha

raza-e-Al Barr tha

yehud dang the kaisa ye shaks atthar tha

Khuda ka haath tha ya fir

vo dast-e-Haider tha

Ali nahin to ibaadat me

kuch maza hi nahi

Ali ka bughz ho dil main to fir jaza hi nahi

Ali Ali Ali Ali

Ya Ali Ya Ali

Ali Ali Ali Ali

Ya Ali Ya Ali

Gunehgaar hoon magar aasra hai Haider ka

khayal dil main hai roz-e-jaza ke manzar ka

wahan pe khauf nahi hoga mujhko mehshar ka

pakad ke le hi chalenge vo haath naukar ka

Soulful Collection of some Gregorian Chants/ Catholic Hymns

I thought of sharing few Latin hymns/ Gregorian chants that I have listened to since a very very long time of my life, and they continue to impart peace. This is my first post where I am sharing Christian music. I am especially sharing the ones in Latin as sung by Catholic monks...Well, for the sake of privacy, suffice to say that Christ will always have a key place in my life for reasons known only to me...Amusingly enough, my birth date tends to fall on or around Easter (when Christ was resurrected) most years. There is an interesting anecdote I kept on remembering, however. The first time I ever saw a crucifix was in my grandmother's house when I was 3-4 years old where it was kept on some cupboard but displayed and always caught my eye. And my mother would also talk of Sisters/nuns in her convent school where she studied in her childhood (although she was a devout Hindu). Although I was born in one-faith (Hinduism) family, I was given the liberty to follow any faith I liked, and there were never any restrictions. After few years, when I was actually painting at a very very young age in my drawing notebook (probably 6-7 years old), I literally color painted a real life Christ crucified on the cross simply from my imagination (and that painting remains close to me in my memory, and I regret not having a copy of it or taking photo simply because there was no cameras or phone cameras in the house in those years). In all humility, I would like to call that painting as my masterpiece ever painted. Someone once asked me, if I was able to also paint the pain which was there on Christ's body and face and I was left speechless as I was not sure if I could answer that at that age of my life. Anyhow, after many years, that notebook got lost and was never to be found. Something very similar to what happened to one of the famous Christian painters (Akiane) who painted the Prince of Peace (the only real face of Christ) (Prince Of Peace | Official Akiane Gallery | Jesus Painting) but that painting was lost although it was found many many years later as it was God's will...

Anyhow, some of the peaceful Gregorian chants I would like to share (for the receptive heart (s)) are here:

Dan Gibson’s Solitudes - Jesu Dulcis Memoria | Illumination: Peaceful Gregorian Chants

Dan Gibson - Asperges Me Domine

Pange Lingua Gloriosi - Catholic Hymns, Gregorian Chant

Dan Gibson’s Solitudes - Adoro Te Devote | Illumination: Peaceful Gregorian Chants

Dan Gibson’s Solitudes - Kyrie Eleison | Illumination: Peaceful Gregorian Chants

Monks singing Gregorian Chant in a Catholic Benedictine Seminary

(this one is very peaceful chanting).

A beautiful Sufi song from a Bollywood movie- Tu mere Rubaru ho main tere rubaru

Sharing a song that is from a Bollywood movie (Khuda Haafiz 2, 2022) that I had watched recently (actually the movie has two sequels, Khuda Haafiz and Khuda Haafiz 2, although I watched both, but the second sequel is too violent and traumatic unlike the first one which I like more).  The particular song captured my heart, as it's a Sufi song.

Rubaru - Full Video | Khuda Haafiz 2 | Vidyut J, Shivaleeka O | Vishal Mishra, Asees Kaur, Manoj M

Basically, the actor in the movie (the first one: Khuda Haafiz) is shown as a Hindu man who marries a Muslim girl but unfortunately, due to a twist of fate, she lands in a foreign country (similar to Oman), where she gets involved in human trafficking and is sold into prostitution. The whole movie is based on his frantic and devoted search for his wife (who has already had her share of traumas due to the trap she landed in) facing so many challenges but ultimately manages to get her back safely.

The lyrics of the song are composed by Manoj Muntashir, who is a highly gifted poet who has composed some truly deep lyrics for many Hindi movies. The vocals of the song feature Nizami Brothers (a Sufi Qawwali group) along with other singers.

The piano music at the beginning of this song is very divine as well.

The whole lyrics are one deep poem coming from the heart, asking the Beloved to appear and not torment the lover...Specifically, the lines where the lover (seeker) wants to annihilate himself (main ghat jaun maula) as soon as the beloved joins are very deep.

the lyrics are below (the link at the end also has lyrics in English translated)

"Lobaan Ke Dhuein Sa Faila Hai Char Su

Tu Laapata Hai Phir Bhi Har or Tu Hi Tu

Main Hoon Fakeer Tera Rakh Meri Aabroo

Haami Yeh Bekasan Hai Itni Si Aarzoo.

Tu Mere Rubaru ho main tere Rubaru

Sarphiri Hawa Rok De Zara

Tune Jo Banaya Woh Bigadne Na De.

Meri Haar Mein Teri Haar Hai

Haarne Na De Mujhe Tu Haarne Na De.

Aise Jud Mujhse Main Ghat Jaaun Maula

Tera Jo Karam Ho Main Chhat Jaaun Maula

Main Shaam Ka Dhundhalka Tu Noor Hubahoo

Haami Yeh Bekasan Hai Itni Si Aarzoo...

Tu Mere Rubaru ho main tere Rubaru

Tu Hi Pehli Zid Tu Hi Harf-E-Aakhir

Mere Dil Mein Hai Jo Kuchh Bhi Woh Tujhpe Zaahir

Le Khol Di Yeh Baahein Teri Khatir

Nazdeek Is Kadar Hai Phir Kyun Hai Door Tu

Haami Yeh Bekasan Hai Itni Si Aarzoo

Tu Mere Rubaru Ho Main Tere Rubaru

Ab Aan Milo More Sajan Mann Ki Lagan Samjho

Hai Loot Rahi Dil Ko Mere Ishq Tapan Samjho

Nas Nas Mein Mere Tum Hi Tum,

Na Bas Mein Yeh Mann Samjho

Mukabbir Ho Mere Dil Ke Toh Bin Bole Sajan Samjho...

Tu Mere Rubaru Ho Main Tere Rubaru

(Note: Lobaan is an Indian resin herb used in prayer mostly by Hindus but also probably burned at other shrines. Interestingly, I always remembered the fragrance of this resin but never knew it was called lobaan until I started to burn it myself)

English Translation:

Day by Day, people get sick of one another

Day by day, people chase each other away

I chose solitude

For I lost faith in my world

I had dreams of peace

How simple hearted was i

Day by day, people get sick of one another

Day by day, people chase each other away

Omid do what is in your power

To save us from all this pain

Forbid our lives to go by

So fast and abruptly

Without true love and happiness

Day by Day, people get sick of one another

Day by day, people chase each other away

A uniquely beautiful song- Koi Nahin Hai Fir bhi awaaz aa rahi hai.........

Sharing a song which is so beautiful and nostalgic as I literally heard it a day ago after almost 26 years and could instantly recognize it. I would not even call this song a lesser-known song as its literally unknown song and only those who really have thirst for music and listen to lot of genres will know why songs have magical power as its the melody and words which the heart recognizes across time and space.

This song is actually a beautiful ghazal song with beautiful lyrics sung by famous Indian ghazal singer Talat Aziz, released in 2000. The song can be heard here

(158) Koi Nahin Hai - YouTube

The lyrics are very beautiful as they talk of a male lover (supposedly a poet) who is able to feel the true love but not able to translate the feelings but senses the inspiration of the female lover (who is shown as a musician who also sings hence the melodies given by her or sent through telepathically). Interestingly, as the lyrics progress, we are also told that this person also recognizes the deep magnetism, but neither is the union (wasl) occurring nor is the thought of her leaving him....I think its one of the most simple and beautiful lyrics expressing the beauty of love from one person's view....

The lyrics of this divine song are as follows:

"Koi nahin hai phir bhi
Awaaz aa rahin hai
Shaayad meri mahobaat
Shaayad meri mohobbaat
Mujhko bula rahee hai

Koi nahin hai phir bhi
Awaaz aa rahin hai...

Mere labon ko uske
Andaaz mil rahein hai
Uske suron ko mere
Alfaaz mil rahein hai
Mein geet likh raha hoon
Woh geet gaa rahin hai...
Shayad meri mohabbat
mujhko bula rahi hai

Ye meri zindagi ki
sabse haseen ghadi hai
nazron ke saamne vo
chhup kar kahin khadi hai
na paas aa rahi hai
na door ja rahi hai

Shaayad meri mohobbaat
Mujhko bula rahee hai

bas ik jhalak dikha ke
paagal bana diya hai
baadal ko usne apna
kajal bana diya hai
phoolon se ab vo apni
zulfen saja rahi hai

Shayad meri mohabbat
mujhko bula rahi hai
Koi nahin hai phir bhi
Awaaz aa rahin hai..."

I have also done its English translation which is as follows:

"No one is there, yet
There is a voice coming
Maybe my love
Maybe my love
is calling me…

No one is there still
There's a voice coming...

My lips are getting
The styles of her…
Her melodies are
meeting my written words
I am writing a song.
She is singing the song...

Maybe my love
is calling me….

Of my life, this is
the most beautiful moment
in front of my eyes
she is hiding somewhere, standing
neither is she coming close
neither she is going far

Maybe my love
is calling me….

Just by showing a glimpse
she has made me crazy
She has made the clouds
the kajal of her eyes
With flowers, now she is
adorning her hair

Maybe my love
is calling me….

No one is there still
There's a voice coming..."

Lovely Farsi Songs-2

Sharing more Persian songs in my series of beautiful melodies from the country of Iran:

1.

Erfan Tahmasbi - Khodahafez ( عرفان طهماسبی - خداحافظ )

This song is very very poetic, and its lyrics and English transliteration are available here: Khodahafez Lyrics English (with Translation) | Erfan Tahmasbi

The specific lyrics:

""To Rafti Degar Mah O Ayineh Khodahafez,

Boghz To Sineh Khodahafez"

(You’ve gone, so goodbye to the moon and the mirror,

Goodbye to the lump in my chest.)

are very very deep...

کاور آهنگ خداحافظ عرفان طهماسبی _ melii (this is a female cover of the same song Khodahafez, but is very beautiful as well)

2.

Ehaam - Jana ( ایهام - جانا )

3.

(one of the most haunting orchestral music)

6.

(151) Ragheb - To Ra Ke Didam | OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These songs are collections of divine Nohas/Manqabats and are way too too soulful:

2. Dil Ali Dilbar Ali (Slowed+Reverb) Sajjad Mohammadi - Farsi Noha

Rahe Najaf with Urdu Subtitles | Al Hussaini | Dil Ali Dilbar Ali

P.S. At present I do not understand Persian (although it has many common words with Urdu) although I can read or write it........Perhaps, learning to speak and understand this language (which is one of the most naturally rhyming and poetic and beautiful languages) might be something I will look for. :)..if my fading memory allows me....

Some very beautiful Hindi/ Bollywood songs on piano: instrumentals

Sharing a collection of few Hindi Bollywood songs that I particularly find very melodious and divine when played as instrumental on the piano....The links are of piano instrumentals.

1.

Shubhashree - Dhadak Piano Cover

part of the lyrics of this divine song which I really like are:

"मरहमी सा चाँद है तू

दिलजला सा मैं अँधेरा

एक दूजे के लिए हैं

नींद मेरी ख्वाब तेरा

तू घटा है फुहार की

मैं घड़ी इंतज़ार की

अपना मिलना लिखा

इसी बरस है ना

जो मेरी मंजिलों को जाती है

तेरे नाम की कोई सड़क है ना

जो मेरे दिल को दिल बनाती है

तेरे नाम की कोई धड़क है ना"

5.

Zindagi Har Kadam Ek Nai Jung Hai | Piano Cover | Shabbir Kumar | Aakash Desai

For this particular song, I am sharing its intro piano music from the movie itself.

meri jung piano

I should add this song (with lyrics) is very special especially as it shows the actor in the movie (Anil Kapoor) discovering his lost piano (that was sold off to someone) which he played with his mother when young and played a specific melody (the song), and it is through that melody that he plays again to try to revive the memory of his mother who suffered a lot and forgot him (due to dementia state)..but remembered him back that he was her lost son....

Jeet Jayenge Hum Tu Agar Sang Hai 4K Song | Meri Jung | Lata Mangeshkar,Nitin Mukesh
