One of my urdu poems...

 

Sharing an Urdu poem, I wrote many years ago. This poem as it stands is deeply personal and has a specific code of sounds/ pattern I have used (based on my style). Anyways, I decided to post this one here on my blog:

 

"Maafi mein tu

Maaenon mein tu

Maahir mein tu

majboor mein tu

Maasoom mein tu

mazaak mein tu

Maazi mein tu,

malaal mein tu,

masroof mein tu

mayassar mein tu

marham mein tu

marhoom main tu

masjid mein tu,

rahMaan mein tu,

Urdu ke itne lafzon 

ki khanak mein tu,

par zindagi mein,

kyu nahin?

Ae Maa,

O ma..

Ikhattar se sattar ka safar 

faqat ek ginti kam hi to hona hai,

Phir bhi, dil hi jaanta hai,

vo safar-e-muhaal kitna hai...”

 Sharing a poem that I wrote many years ago (probably 8 -9 years ago) here. As this particular poem does not fit a typical Urdu or Hindi poem, I don't think I can include it in my future poetry collection (God willing) in print. The reason being that it's a deeply deeply personal poetry that was written in a very unique and experimental style but also written in some layers hiding emotions in some specific patterns I have used only known to me:).
